November 30, 2010 : Today I decided to venture out of the Shores and try a new spot. Good morning OB Pier. After hiking over the mounds of seaweed, I paddled out next to the pier. Met a few cool cats and a SUP dude that was ripping. Can't wait to shoot him in big surf. Water temp: 55 degrees. I had to come in after a hour and a half. That's when I lost feeling in my feet. Enjoy.

November 27, 2010 : Sun in November. I'll take it. Even if it was 1-2 feet today. I'll take that over cloudy, windy 4 foot any day. Great seeing many familiar faces and new ones as well. A comp was going on at the peak with BA in charge of the bullhorn... watch out! Enjoy.

October 23, 2010 : Motivation. I had to dig deep to get out of my car before 8am this morning. The drizzle and cloudy conditions were putting a damper on my get motivated to get out there. I made the drive to the beach, so I must go out, right? As usual, I'm glad I did. Got to say high to a few friends and meet a bunch of new friends. Good times. Enjoy. Understandable, since the run off after a first heavy rain can carry tons of hungry micro buzz killers. October 18, 2010 : Woke up to rain and wet streets. But haven't been in the water for a couple days so I was out there no matter what. I took Cha Cha and headed to the Shores. Paddled out to glassy conditions and saw some familiar faces. I took a few snaps with the new Macro lens then loaded the camera up into the housing and headed out. October 15, 2010 : No sun again but it's all good. I jumped in the water with Cha Cha anyways. Who's Cha Cha? Read my blog. We jumped in early with some friends and ended up getting a few gems. Check the video clip at the end of the gallery. On the way home, met up with my wife as she got one last swim in before her first triathlon on Sunday. Met and snapped a few of John and Sheila (I believe) as they SUPed. Enjoy.

October 13, 2010 : Cloudy in the early AM but really wanted to test out the Go Pro HD cam that's now mounted on the SPL rig. So I ended up at the reefs and shot a few cool fellas in the water. Check the uncut edit of the video clips. It's the last image on the last page. Kinda cool and may be a new tool to get people to my site. You can Tweet the video or Share on Facebook. October 8, 2010 : Experimentation day! The waves were on the small size but the sun was out. So I was able to try something I've wanted to do for a while. I reset my focus to get in super tight and sharp. Needless to say, as you'll see in most of today's photos, my experiment didn't serve up the outcome I was after. Yes, I have a few gems in there but I'll stick to my guns and keep with what's been working. See you in the water!

October 6, 2010 : It was drizzling and cloudy in North Park (where I'm living). But I took a look at the horizon and noticed a break in the clouds. I loaded up and headed out. As soon as I hit the sand, the sun and waves co-operated. Good times.

September 29, 2010 Midday : After a four hour swim/photo session down south, I headed north to the Shores. Waves were pumping and a cool pack was enjoying the midday sun and glassiness. Good times. Good people. And it was cool hearing these three girls laugh and enjoying getting worked on some waves. That was cool. Enjoy. September 28, 2010 Afternoon : Picked up Sean, got to the beach and realized I forgot my suit. Luckily, I had my trunks and wetsuit hood in the car. Loaded the camera and set my camera up to shoot with bright light. Well, the sun decided to get behind the clouds for most of my session so had to bring 'em into Photoshop to lighten 'em up. Good times... good people. Enjoy.
